Oh and from OSRS gold this point, soloing is almost non-existant, as anything which will give experience at this point is pretty much in a raid zone. On the flip side, Runescape did encourage socializing. I want it had quests. The raids were fun because of its day though. It's the exact opposite. Runescape ended up putting the capacity to order Pizza Hut into Runescape, this was like ~2004. The entire culture around Runescape places the South Park WoW event to shame. RS is a whole lot easier going in contrast.
Runescape to me is always a perennial cycle of"ill be able to have so much fun once I complete this 200 hour grind of X" Get to"x", locate it super underwhelming and stop for 3 months. Both back in the day and now I put a goal assists with burnout. I haven't logged in for a couple of days and simply powered back up to 100 combat. Did the same thing when I came back and hit at 88 fletching. Once I max quests and receive 70 all I probably will end up stopping though, or playing very sparingly. But for a whole lot of Runescape there going on till you reach levels.
Basically happened on my main with me. Started feeling like the time commitment was past 70s, even 60s for some abilities. I had a blast progressing things up to there, and even grinded a 99 (wc) only for the adventure of it. I believed the grind to 65 att and def, then str (somehow believed I had def rather than str to get in the warrior guild) was a long mill and that I was only going from 60. I slowly grinded out 70s and recognized my grind was tame. Next believed the 70 grind was tame and got 80s. I have 81/84/79 89 range 80 mage and 70 prayer and don't even remember the grinds. For me the current grind feels just like the preceding one. I am already half way to 91 and only recently got 90 farming.
Some skills I really do hate. Fletching is and that I train it my Tears of Guthix go to RC. I hate thieving. RC is poor and agility is ok, getting close to 70 inside. You're going about this all the wrong way dude. You simply can't compare yourself. If folks want to behave as if they're better than you, simply because they perform more hours, then that is sad for them but don't let it affect your mentality. Simply play how you wish to perform and achieve things which are realistic and enjoyable for you. I acknowledge this game does have elitism issues and it is probably why I never truly appreciated clan chats, but I still enjoyed hitting and playing my own objectives.
You have to pay for membership, I never once bought a bond to the reason you talk about. So I am able to play games that I enjoy, I work, I should not need to work in Runescape to manage to play it. I dont know why 90-95% of gamers are currently playing with with this game. They despise playing Runescapethey want everything easier, they despise skills, they despise quests, they hate how they interact with everything, they want 1000 updates to ironman before they can enjoy ironman.
As an Ironman, I do get annoyed we are catered to by upgrades. I liked Ironman's challenge since it made me think beyond the box. I've been on a break for several months. I don't really follow the updates too closely so I'm dreading the day that I find they ruined my UIM by catering to the mode too much. It stinks that something becomes normiefied and therefore destroyed, if folks need all these RS07 Gold changes to make ironman good they can just play regular acc and choose the restrictions themselves.
